First former Premier League club to be relegated out of the Football League

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

What with them and Scunny, that's another 2 established league clubs dropping into non league.

It's more like division 5 every year and about time the promotion places were increased in line with the EFL.

2 good away days if nothing else.

Makes you grateful for good owners I reckon.

It does mean that Stevenage survive once again though.

Was really hoping it would be them instead of Oldham.

Think it’s excrement that they played the game behind closed doors. Almost like the football authorities couldn’t give a excrement that yet another team is being ruined by girl private owners…

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

So it appears, much like at town, there are still people at Oldham that don’t want to protest even thought they’ve witnessed the club be dismantled and ruined…

If we don't win the play offs I think we're much better off having Oldham down here next season. Seems like the owners are incompetent, don't own the ground etc. Very difficult to see them making an impact

I bet the person who looks after loans at Sheff Wednesday is feeling like he's let Alex Hunt down a bit here. He could have been involved in a play off push and learning to win rather than a relegation surrender in a toxic environment.

We know from our experience and to our detriment that there are people in football who know the cost of everything and the value of nothing,
