Shame for Scunny, but there for the grace of god and all that.

Keith Hill has a cunning plan though apparently, but I think it will about as useful as Baldrick's. Can see them going down another level or two yet, maybe even into oblivion.

I suppose the thing with the Boston comparison is that Boston had previous with the powers that be at this level.

They were (maybe still are) hated by many for what was seen as cheating their way out of this league in the early 2000's.  That wasn't forgotten and I think the refusal to admit them into the Conference was as much about the delivery of delayed karma as it was about breaching rules.

The chiefs at Conference HQ make the rules up as they go, as we've seen on many occasions.  Their handling of the situation in the last 2 years was border line comedy.  In fact if it wasn't such a farce and detrimental to so many clubs it would have been funny.  

Refusing Scunny into the league would arguably leave them with another year with a less than complete 24 teams, I'm not sure they want to see that happen again.
