Does he actually check any of his content borrowed and copied items before putting them live in print or on line?
He recently had Smith being praised for being a back 4 partner to both Pearson and Waterfall in a wrong sentence, then went on to say that Pearson was now the number 3 in line as Smith offered more pace and balanced better with Waterfall.
His expertise over a couple of months, then decides in print who will stay and go with contract talks.
The Fishy is his main source of info, so a blatently wrong piece of info would fool him into printing something without checking the facts.
Move him away regionally asap, and get someone who interacts properly and doesn't just reprint today's Fishy tomorrow !!

Shame he wasn't in post last summer. Fillipe gave us loads of blatantly wrong information like his famous number N N N N N N NINE announcement.

He’s always good on DN35. As much as it hurts some Town fans, he’s been sent here on the equivalent of a season long loan to prove himself before getting a bigger club to report on. That is where the Telegraph ranks in the larger group of local papers that they are now part of.
I know a lot of people don’t like the clickbait type online content, but with dwindling physical sales local newspapers have to shameless monetise their online content through advertisement and you won’t get much advertisement revenue if the headline tells you the content without having to click.
All the national newspapers pad out their stories with comments from their online sites and social media posts. It’s the new norm.

It is the new norm, and it's sad that that's the case.
Pre-internet, the club's only channel of communication with the fans (apart from physically being in the community, and match day programmes) was the Telegraph and Humberside.
So journalists went to the club to get a story, or an update, and then they'd be first to report it to their readers/listeners/fans, who were grateful for that investigative work.
That order has been disrupted. Journalists are now much lower down the pecking order because the club can (and does) put out their own news via their website and social channels. It's taken the power away from reporters.
In the context of the Telegraph, there isn't a lot they can say that hasn't already been said, unless it's an opinion piece.
The work they did to uncover the true identity of Alex May, and the work Findlater did back then to inform the fans of what was going on behind the scenes, was good journalism — telling people something they didn't already know.
And that was made possible because the club wasn't telling us what was really going on. Now, with owners who are open, there's nothing to hide (and nothing to find, if you're a journalist).
I'm generalising, but you get my point.

Ive stopped reading his write-ups, and even his interviews with Hursty, he seems to have a personality of a fishcake.

As crap as the content may be, he's doing it to orders. As Golly says this is what the new norm is, it's the expectations and demands of the market. Lots and lots of content as it equals more clicks, which in turn generates more advertising revenue.
Because the push is on as pushing as many pieces out as possible, there's going to be a lower quality of content all round.
There's a niche market for quality sports journalism, one which The Athletic have happily tapped into. That hasn't quite reached our level but both the The League and Non-League Paper are fighting the battle to an extent.

Local journalism is not what it used to be unfortunately.
The fact this charlatan is not local speaks volumes about the Reach group and the value they put on their content.
No proof readers , regurgitated illiterate shite gleaned from uncorroborated social media sources.
On the rare occasions I ventured on the website I was constantly inundated with bingo adverts, It should just be closed down with immediate effect.
Jackson can do one back to Yorkie land and I would even revoke his com fort day pass.

Bingo, you say? I just get ads for golf clubs and some very, very niche fetish porn. I don’t even play golf.

The club and Paul Hurst seem to like him as despite the club having a media team they use Jackson for the pre-match interview.

That's cos he has a similar list of questions every week, so not much to worry about from anything surprising coming as a new random question.
