Lenell John-Lewis' loan spell at York City has been extended until the end of the season.

With his contract expiring this summer I would't be surprised if that's the last we see of him in a Town shirt.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Is he cup-tied? Can he pay in their FA Trophy games?

It was in that largely forgettable period in the run up to Christmas where Town were either getting beaten or not playing at all due to a combination of high winds and pestilence.

I’ve tried to blank it from my memory too.

I doubt we’ll see him play for us again.

Very much a marmite player but don’t think anyone can suggest he didn’t give it his all every time he pulled on the shirt.

Good luck Lenny.

York drawn away to Bromley in the Trophy.  Wrexham v Stockport in other semi.

(Bromley will have another league fixture to fit in).

I notice that home draw for Wrexham means that they will have SEVEN home games on the trot!!

I know a couple might be rearranged games but they are at home in the league on Good Friday and Easter Monday as well as the Saturday before!

I think Bromley having the distraction of a Wembley visit, amidst the backdrop of a fixture backlog, could be a positive for Town.

Granted, it didn’t hold us back in ‘98 but that was a special team.

Well, other than the 7 points from 24 we picked up between beating Burnley in the Northern final and playing Bournemouth at Wembley, 4 of which came in the two games after reaching the final.

We ended that season quite poorly overall.  11 points from the final 33 available (after the Burnley game) and just 3 goals (2 of which were penalties) in the final 8 league games.   We finished 13 points behind second placed Bristol City when we probably could have caught them.
