One of the greatest cricketers of all time. RIP In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions. Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them. GOD

Loved listening to him when he was on commentary duty. He had so many ideas when it came to field placings, when to bowl certain bowlers, when to declare, when to attack, when to defend, etc. "Don't shine that light in my face, mate - I've just lost a pint of blood."

One thing this has taught me is to cherish and love  everything you have in your life and to take nothing or no-one for granted! Thoughts and prayers to his family and friends - RIP Warnie sadly taken to soon but always in our memories ❤️

Unlike some of the Sky pundits, he had time for a chat and let us get photos. Lovely man, fantastic talented sportsman and taken far too soon. RIP Warney.

Having played cricket for the best part of 35 years and being a spin bowler myself, you can appreciate the skill he had. He played the game with a smile, I guess he could when playing in one of the greatest teams at the time. When he retired and started commentating he was very fair in his assessment and knowledge he would offer to the viewers, in a way even those with little cricket knowldege would understand. A sad two legends of the sport I enjoy playing and watching have passed away. RIP
