Roman Abramovich has announced he is handing control of Chelsea Football Club to the club’s charitable Foundation.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

All his assets in the UK should be confiscated and given to Ukraine to rebuild after this excrement Adolf Punin has caused is over,  along with all other Russian individuals, businesses and conglomerates.
All Russian sport should not be allowed anywhere in the world.

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

Why should assets be seized from ALL Russian individuals?

I don't mean the ordinary bloke, sorry if it came across like that.
I work with Russians and Ukrainians all of which were praying that Putin didn't invade.

This was inevitable if not just for the fact it diverts any focus and questions away from Chelsea.

Simple the only way there will be any internal pressure on Putin is if their multi billionaire/millionaires see their comfy lifestyles put at risk.

Russia must be isolated in every possway and banned from all sporting competitions immediately.

Didn't Tony Blair start an illegal war ? Wasn't he democratically voted in again on the back of it ?

I suppose it’s a moot point as to whether it was illegal. He did win the following election but with a much lower majority. Something like 33% of the vote.

But as my late mother used to say “Two wrongs don’t make a right” when one of us got told off and we said “but he did it first”.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,

Several lawyers have probably been paid several roubles to come up with this smoke screen.

Abramovich and several less well known kleptocrats need to turn on Putin to bring him down.

I’ve just had a pop at someone for a non football comment on here so I guess I’m going to be a hypocrite but you’d imagine internal pressure would be the only thing that stops Putin.

He won't be welcomed back though. The great thing about the attempt to create the Super League last year was that even the fans of the English teams who were supposed to be in it were opposed to it. Fans could see it was morally wrong and didn't want their owners to take them into it, a reminder of who really owns the club. I've never liked the big teams but their supporters went up in my estimation during that episode. It might take a while but I hope this is the beginning of the end for RA at Chelsea.

Does this mean he won’t be writing any more cheques out . If that’s the case Chelsea will be quickly back down with the likes of Leicester and Soton in mid table

There could be questions to answer our way soon, albeit distantly.

Bournemouth go up and we get more for Dembele don’t we?

Maxim surely will have question marks raised against him  at some point?

Not a clue, has Abramovic? I’ve no idea..you’d imagine powers that be will perhaps start to look into the affairs of Russian businessmen and their financial affairs here- or maybe not..I don’t know. Lebedev is sat on a peerage in the House of Lords so I doubt he will. Anyway..I digress.

I’m just wondering if there will be questions to answer for Bournemouth in the future? Who knows.

If Bournemouth hit financial problems, all football creditors need to be paid in full. Our agreement is with Peterborough so do we get our money when Peterborough get theirs or do we get ours when it's triggered regardless of whether Peterborough have been paid?

Back to Abromovich, he still owns the club and Chelsea still owe him the £1.5 billion, all he’s done is said the trustees can run the club for the time being, a bit like if Mr Fenty had said he was passing day to day control to our supporters trust, these people are not suddenly going to give away “ their “ club for nothing.

i think you will find the whole issue is irrelevant James, as Filipe told us that there was definitely no sell on fee due, as the arrangement had lapsed

Just to clear up a point made on this thread.

Blair did not send our troops into Iraq, it was voted on in parliament by all MPs. He was supported by the conservatives as well as the majority of all MPs.

Prime ministers can not send in our armed forces, only parliament can.

It was voted on by parliament with the incorrect evidence that Tony Blair presented. Had he told the actual facts, then the vote would have been different. Sounds quite similar to what a certain Russian leader is portraying at the moment.

Just mentioned in the Carabao Cup Final (Sky Sports) that Reece James made his debut for Chelsea against Grimsby, fame at last

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Close to Putin allegedly , half his family is from Ukraine half from Belarus’s.
Close friend of Schevchenko who he brought to Chelsea and backed in row when Morinho was asked first time round. Schevchenko is now  a Ukranian politician and his son is at the Chelsea Academy..
Will be the high wire act of all time if he comes out of this one ahead
