I see he was sub today for Bristol City in the Championship.

What was the score with him, did we just let him drift off?

Is he down Bristol way on a Holloway recommendation?

To be in the squad at Championship level is terrific for him, and I think he is only 19.

I think he and Starbuck were allowed to join other clubs but we have some sort of sell-on clauses

Pretty funny really that nobody was interested when we had a sell on clause but as soon as he gets his contract cancelled Birmingham and Bristol City want him.

Can remember an interview at the time with Hurst saying he’d been on trial all over but nobody wanted to take him on, and he was driving in for miles every day to train so they agreed to cancel his contract. This after being released by Norwich and Lincoln before us, so if he’s slipped through the net, he’s slipped through plenty.

Goes back to the same discussion we have every few months about how Championship & Prem clubs have the benefit of time & resources to develop 18 & 19 year olds for 4 or 5 years, but we don’t unfortunately.
