Their #4 seems a right dirty twit, his only task seemed to be to rough up players like an ice hockey goon. 4th game in a row he's got booked too, surprised he wasn't double booked tbh, the ref was pretty lenient. Good win from behind even after missing a penalty there was drive and the goals seemed like they were coming for a long time. It's more of this we saw earlier in the season where even after going behind we always looked favourites to win.

A pretty impressive highlight package. Plenty of positive off the ball runs and good couple of goals

Their goal was a bad one to concede as someone should have took him down but our closing down from their kick off at the start was great to see. We need to let any team that doesn't hoof it from kick off start because one of these days we will score in the first minute from it.

Their player did us a huge favour hauling Abrahams down because I don't think he was getting there (and that is why it was a yellow). Excellent cross, header across and finish.

McAtee looked like he was absolutely everywhere on the highlights. Pretty much every attacking highlight involved him.

What a fantastic player McAtee is. Every game he plays, he’s a tangible influence in the result. That’s as much as you can ask. That and 100% effort. We are lucky to have him.

Funny how things look different live, or is it just bias?  At the time, from our angle, the penalty looked absolutely stonewall to me - it looked like the defender had completely come through the back of McAtee.  From the highlights, it's certainly not a penalty and probably outside the box aswell.

It was a soft penalty really but we have been denied plenty, so I will take - maybe our luck is changing. Silly foul on Abrahams - something we have given other teams in the last two seasons.  A chance to get the ball in the box and result in a goal.  Waterfall got up really well to beat his man.   Great team performance and you could see how it meant.    We're back!!

Agree about the pen thought it was pen at the time tho there not always given.. looking at highlights looks very soft..

Also thought Abraham wouldn't have reached ball hence the yellow..

Great save from there keeper to tip Cliftons shot onto the bar ..

Was also good to score scruffy goals. We have not been doing that and we simply have do so along with the odd JMD and McAtee worldly chucked in.

Did someone (a manager, or a report) credit their keeper for saving the penalty? It clearly hit the post. The County defender tries to let it spin out for a County throw-in, which obviously he wouldn't have done if the keeper had got a hand to it.

I was more or less in line with where the free kick was being taken from and you could see that it was destined for Waterfall's head if the delivery was good because he was the last player at the back practically unmarked

It just needed him to nod it back across goal and for someone to get in there for the second ball ahead of their defenders and he did just that

Efete did really well too to get his foot in and to steer it home.... he's proving to be a real fox in the box since he came back from injury

Made me laugh though that it was Waterfall and Abrahams who were first over to the Town section to get mobbed while Efete just seemed to saunter across to join in the manic celebrations

I don't think I have ever seen our players so fired up. Look at the reaction to the winning goal. They obviously felt they owed County one.

Honestly win lose or draw i think we have a squad of players that really care & that's not a given seeing some from the past, i do think hurst & doig are good at getting a tight knit group   , hoping we now go on a charge

We played some bloody good football in those highlights - against a side who defended well.

I hope I never live to see Town in black and white fronted shirts with an all white back. Why does it look so $hite?

Absolutely friggin loved it! And the Matchday Moments too.

If we could get 6 points from the next two games, which is certainly possible, we are back on the mix.

We had one virtually all white a few years ago.

Hurst can't build a team overnight. But those celebrations on Saturday after the goals are really telling.

You sense that a 'group' is forming. Hopefully Hurst is backed now (and into the summer) to retain the nucleus of this squad. If we don't go up this season, or even fall short of the play-offs, I don't think it makes any sense to undo what has been gradually building for over a year now.

I accept Hurst had a fair crack at keeping us up and failed. It wasn't all on his shoulders, but survival was possible.

But all that is in the past now. We've hopefully hit rock bottom and are on the way up. It might not be at the pace everyone wants, but (I think) this is what the owners want; steady the ship, improve the infrastructure off the pitch and gradually improve on it.

No one wants us to play in the National League but I tell you what, the division doesn't matter when you have days like Saturday. In terms of atmosphere, quality of football, etc, it's hard to beat. The division, in the moment, becomes irrelevant.

Obviously reality hits home when the celebrations are over, and you sober up, but I'm more excited about our upcoming games this season than I ever was last season.

Good post pretty much sums up my thoughts too.. was starting to have doubts over Hurst.. but a lot more positive now towards the rest of the season.

He always seems to build a good team spirit and I would trust him in transfer market over most of the managers we've had in recent past..
