Very sad news, the loss of one of our own.
Condolences to all the family.


In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

Everytime we play, I find myself thinking “dad will be happy with that” or “ I bet dad willhave something sarcastic to say about that” I go to message him then remember he is not here anymore. One thing is for certain he will be looking down or up. willing the mariners on to promotion, yet still trying to find a way to say that Hurst is useless.

Can’t remember often sharing his views but on many occasion he’s convinced me he’s right  . I don’t get on here as often as the fish cake days, but when I do its to listen to different views than my own, that’s why its sadder for his passing. RIP fellow Mariner.
