Met up with both today…..they were walking on Cleethorpes seafront….
Asked about their injuries and Scannell said he will be back training next week . Grant said a few weeks away as pushed it too quick…… gutted.
Both came across as genuinely desperate to get back playing…….amazed at the support the team are getting and want to be part of it.
Very friendly and keen to talk…….
Grant looked much younger than his age……he laughed when I told him !
Certainly get the impression that things are good at th red club…..
Hopefully no red crosses for this……

Didn't see enough of Grant in pre-season to have any idea about him yet.
But i'm still very excited about Scannell.
We have good people around him now, and a good manager for him.
I think he will thrive in this league if he plays regularly.

Scannell wont play regularly, hes a crock and has been for nearly 5 years, if he was ever going to be fit it was start of the season, which surprise! he lasted 30 mins. Doubt he will play as many as Hanson managed.

Scannell injury record is well documented and dreadful
It was known when Holloway signed him and has deteriorated
Skill wise he would be a league 1 player still, but we can’t rely on him to be fit.
