Heard a rumour Lenny did his hamstring in training yesterday and is out for foreseeable. Be a shame if he has, he's been a big influence during last 2 games, can anyone verify this?

Not in today's squad so looks like the rumour is true.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Loan market to the rescue I think. We still have a couple of loans to use and the money is there for a striker when Hurst identifies one according to JS.

I think the fact we had young Essel on the bench on Saturday and Hurst was reluctant to use him says everything.  I thought Taylor was fantastic but when he was the one due to sit the game out and come on, to then play 90 minutes tells you how stretched we are on that front.

The only other option as such is pushing McAtee further forward but I think Hurst is correctly reluctant to do that, more so because he then has no-one to really play in that advanced midfield role.

Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if this is the week we bring the new No 9 in.  Listening to Hurst post game he didn't sound confident on Lenny and with another Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday looming, we need another body.  I do like how Hurst is refusing to just bring someone in for the sake of two games knowing it could upset the balance of the squad.

Is Adlard injured as well? Just wondering why Essel was on the bench over him.

Dunno, but I said after the alfreton friendly that I thought Essel had become more of a contender than Adlard
