Looking forward to watching this tonight, especially big spending Wrexham who we've got in a couple of weeks at BP.

Good high tempo game so far, Wrexham edging it.
Wrexham just had a goal ruled out for off-side, looked on-side to me.
Tozer's throw ins are as good as a corner.

Yeah good game and atmosphere. Think both teams look better than most we played last season in L2.

Kyle Wootton scores for County against the run of play, great cross and header.

Agreed - not difficult though it was a shite league altogether. I thought Cambrige looked rubbish although they've started ok this season without Mullin - maybe they know something we don't about him... Atmosphere is ok, but we have 1200 going tomorrow night compared with that poor looking effort from Notts - ok so we are not tele but that didn't make a difference with Bromley. Think I'd prefer a Notts win - ideally for us the "brotherhood" teams all take points off each other rather than one steaming ahead. Chesterfield as early pace setters have had the easiest start but they beating what's in front of them at the moment.

In other games, Barnet lost badly at home. Weymouth won well at home.
Barnet conceded 100 goals last season, based on extrapolating to 46 matches.

Wrexham looked solid and strong but pretty predictable going forward. County played it nicely but looked pretty toothless.

Full-time 1-1, good game.
Must admit I didn't know the other National League teams were playing today, I just assumed we were all playing Tuesday night.

Thought Wrexham looked a good team, closed Notts down really well and piled forward when they had the ball. Looked to have pace all over the pitch.

If Wrexham have 5200 season ticket holders as previously reported, they had pretty much zero footfall from the casuals. Me smells bullsh#t.

Interesting start to this league, Wrexham now 8th with Maidenhead, Woking & Borehamwood ahead of them. Torquay some people’s favourites 19th.
I’m sure it will look very different after the turn of the year. Though this view won’t be universally popular on here when you look at the table Town making the play offs would be a good outcome.

Thought Wrexham were very Direct and physical. Notts tried to play football and piled plenty up the pitch when they had the chance.
Looks like a hard season ahead judging by this game and the one Saturday night UTM

| In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions. Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them. GOD |

Very impressed by both. Hopefully we can be a strong unit as player for player these teams looked good to me. Both full of forwards and as we all know this is where we are lacking. Thought it was a quality game of football. the bit that made me a bit nervous was the pace in these teams but we will see. Wrexham carry all of the pressure and have a target on their backs which may help. utm

When you look at 46 league games, and you’d expect the bigger teams to play more cup & trophy ties squad depth and the ability to sustain form Tues/Sat/Tues/Sat will possibly be as big a factor of success than a couple of individuals who are stepping down a tier or two. It will be interesting to see how we play against a side that wants to play against us. In the few minutes of the second half on Saturday when Weymouth started to move the ball I thought we took time to adjust but we did and went on to win the game. One thing to note after 65 mins or so on Saturday some Town players where blowing as they need more minutes, that won’t always be the case as Hurst will get them fitter which in the league is a real advantage.

Interesting how different people view teams and games…I didn’t think Wrexham looked much at all, very predictable going forward and for all the excitement that the long throw provides it wasn’t that effective. It’s agricultural too…
Notts county looked ok and tried to at least knock it about but didn’t seem that solid.
Naturally, both teams will improve and the conference is always mad a box of frogs early doors but for all the talk about Wrexham they didn’t blow me away…

A decent game, I wanted to see how James Jones got on for Wrexham as he's recently left us. He started last season pretty well for The Imps but caught Covid and was never quite the same since, slipping down the pecking order.
Attendances have been impressive by a few clubs so far.

With all the interest in Wrexham and them spending big this season, their attendance yesterday of 5454 was a lot lower than I thought it would have been with 2 of the top teams tipped for promotion playing each other.

Didn’t they claim they’re making stadium adjustments so only allowed ST holders in? Either way, to be honest I can’t see their gates going much above that once anyone can get in.

Apologies Hagrid, I didn’t realise that. Are they revamping that horrendous terrace that they haven’t used since the 90’s?
