A good footballer and a good defender. He played on and managed what I think was a groin injury most of last season and I think part of the previous season. I think he lost ten percent due to rarely being fully fit last season. Credit to him for battling on. Also, I think both parties needed a fresh start, it's difficult mentally after losing so many games. Good luck to him, he's better than league 2 in my opinion.

Like many, he didn't perform to his best last season but was rumoured to be limited by an injury.

With a summer of rest and full pre-season behind him I think he could have been a decent player for us this season but at the same time, he was part of a relegated team so I don't think he is a huge loss either.

On his day, a decent League 2 defender but he's not kicked on like he probably hoped when joining us.

Hendrie played through an injury throughout last season. Blows my mind that some fans don’t rate him, he was a very solid right-back and when fully fit you’d be hard pushed for better in league 2, never mind the conference.

Always liked him right from the off. Very solid defender and always put in a shift.

One of the few ex players I will remember.

Good luck Luke.

You could try going through the latest page and find it there. If it's not there then put it there.

To be fair it's easier to see the title of the thread is the name of a former player and then just not click on it, rather than doing so and posting twice about it.

Injury or not, Hendrie was poor last season and most definitely regressed during his time with us.  Which is probably testament to the coaching and management that we've had since he initially signed.

Not only one of our most consistent performers during his time here, but probably one of the steadiest full backs in League Two. People that focus on the few small blips of form he had need to be having a word with themselves. Shame we couldn't tempt him down a division, but not surprising as he's better than the Conference.
