Reading that I feel for them to be honest. Must have been an absolute nightmare to manage and most through no fault of their own. To be honest I’ve always enjoyed the Barnet away day with better away facilities than available at BP.

The Inflateable Invasion was 1 of the very few highlights in our time down there, especially the way we won the game too.

Seems like a lack of forward planning to me, all of that stuff should have been in place 4-6 weeks ago surely. Then he also wants to hide behind the covid excuse that loads of companies are using to deflect blame, sorry mate but people are seeing through that now.

"Falls to Arnold... Arnold! That's it! Thats it! He's sealed it! Grimsby Town are back in the football league!!! Just a minute to go and Nathan Arnold makes it 3-1! Look at the scenes behind the goal! Look at the relief! The agony is finally over!!!"

Never rains but it pours!

Talking of which, the weather forecast for the Stockport game is dry.

Have we filled all our vacancies yet? Could be some time before we are firing on all cylinders both off and on field. At least Macca's Testimonial game and the Club Open Day went well. Chesterfield cancelled theirs at short notice.

The ticket office staff seem up to speed. Fingers crossed for Saturday!

Ticket office are always bang on it in my experience, to be fair. Probably the most reliable and consistent part of the club for years now.

The Barnet chairman was the UK distributor of JAKO for a long long time and now it seems not. What they've presented to their fanbase is nothing short of shite. Looks to me like his own doing..... Not our problem.

To be fair to him, he's laid out some facts. Some of the blame for the kit situation might lay at his door but the issue regarding furlough can't really be levelled at him because the matchday staff are employed by another firm, that he has contracted with in good faith.

It may not be "our problem" but knowing what others are dealing with at the moment can help put our problems into perspective.

The London and Nottingham economies referenced in that statement are very different to the Grimsby economy which should mean our matchday staffing isn't greatly affected although we are at least one matchday member of staff down with the departure of Nick Dale.

I was referring purely to the kit aspect of his statement. Surely somebody with his experience in the industry would have had this nailed months ago. Most clubs would have had his sorted backend of last year. I know Maidenhead did because I did it.

A 13 year old could go locate 2000 cans of fosters at short notice. I’m sure this isn’t something a football club chairman should be trying to pull kudos on 🤷🏼‍♂️

Chance of a good start against Weymouth and Barnet if they're our opening home games.

A bit like the chance of a nice easy first home win against Hayes & Yeading when we were down here last.
