Typical Hurst. We've not had one shot on target yet. All about keeping us shape and a clean sheet.

Nothing to do with The National League or Town but just noticed that T.Watt has scored for Motherwell.

Nicky featherstone puts the Poolies 1 up

Charles V scores Bradford's equaliser at Mansfield

Tshimanga opens his account for Chesterfield as they score 3 in 5 minutes. My bet on the Big 5 in the Conference today is looking good with only Stockport letting me down

Notts County score looks impressive, and I'm sure they're quite good, but looking closely they were only 2 up when Barnet conceded a penalty that earned a red card, and they added 2 more late on against 10. So sometimes final score lines can be a bit deceptive.

I went to Wealdstone v Woking today as its 5 minutes from me. Didn't see a lot to worry Town to be fair but then it is week 1. Woking have got 4 proper big lads but it was their number 10 that nipped in and got both goals. Woking keeper was happy to waste time from the start of the second half and didn't seem too confident. Wealdstone best player for me was their number 12 on the right wing. Every single time without fail that he got the ball on the wing he put in a great ball into the box so will have to watch him. Cooke, number2, at the back for Wealdstone is a big lad too and has a useful long throw into the box which was probably their main line of attack.
Spoke to the Wealdstone President briefly at half time and he suggested they have given Southend 9oo allocation so we should be ok for tickets on a Tuesday night. The bar is good (great tribute bands on weekends, shame it's a midweek game) and they also have an outside bar down the side to help particularly for away fans.
They got 1400 today, mainly boosted by the fact they were giving away 500 season tickets to children if with a paying adult. Ticket was only £10 which was good, think that's the price if you are 60!! (if asked).
Finally, remember Wealdstone play at Ruislip Manor not Wealdstone. If you don't want to drink at the ground there is a Weatherspoons (£1.99 a pint) opposite Ruislip Manor Tube and 400 yards from the ground.

Interesting to see the start title favorites for The National League North, York have made to the season.

Currently bottom of the league having lost at home to Kiddy last week and today were stuffed 4-0 at Paul Groves' Gloucester City.

Thing is, longer-term, the moneyed teams tend to end up at the top end by the end of the season. Form is temporary. Expenditure is permanent!

The clubhouse does indeed, I saw a brilliant Electro 80's tribute band there ... full of Spurs fans, very welcoming though.
