Going to have getting used to all the publicity that Wrexham are getting with Ryan Reynolds being involved.

But really, just seen this, Hollywood style sign in Wrexham.

Wrexham are the new Lincoln, hope it goes mammaries up.

Just tragically dull now. Fair play to he Wrexham fans that stuck with them, but I’d be embarrassed of the circus if it was me.

Yep, can't imagine the music they'll play when the teams run out

Someone’s got a sense of irony. On an old slag heap.

Wrexham are the footballing equivalent of the homeless bloke treated to a fresh change of clothes and a slap up dinner by some wealthy YouTube influencer looking to exploit them for views. True, it'll quite possibly the best day they've had in a while but ultimately it will be at their expense - they are but a pity case and a pawn in some rich superstar's game. "Look at that poor, unfortunate man and his píss-stained trousers - isn't it nice that they're helping him get the chewing gum out of his hair?".

The analogy does fall down in one respect; whilst our homeless friend will be back to dipping bins for the remnants of an unfinished Boots meal deal, drinking paint thinner by the litre and retrieving unspent tab ends from the beer garden ashtrays of their local Wetherspoons, I suspect the legacy of all this for Wrexham will be positive, materially speaking.

They will be well ahead of us in five years time, no doubt. Ten years? Probably. But they'll get there with very little of their identity, or dignity, intact. Wrexham AFC won't be about 'Wrexham' anymore - they'll stand for something very different.

To be honest Poojah, they’ve already sold their soul. Just as Notts County did back in about 2007. And Portsmouth a few years ago. Both serial admin cases. Neither further forward when they took Old Nick’s silver guinea.

I do see a slight difference versus Notts County and Pompey in that there does seem to be an element of natural sustainability about the Wrexham model, and that it goes against their benefactor’s interests to go properly mammaries up.

They’ve absolutely sold their soul though, no disputing that.

Looks like the Red Dragons won't be breathing fire anymore, razzamatazz, glitter, and cheerleader will soon follow.

We would be absolutely buzzing if it was us. Give it a rest.

And to think, we could have had Alex May.

Don't understand the hostility. Reynolds certainly doesn't need the clicks. You should check out his business involvements and his charity donations. He's no John Fenty though.

Can't see this being anything but beneficial to Wrexham, remember they've been a non-league team for over 10 years now.

And when you fall back into the mud it hurts a lot.
No! None of it was true, none of those things we thought we could see existed at all.
All that was really there was still more misery

Good on them. They’ve had to deal with shite for years just like us. They deserve this. I just wish it was us.

I don’t like what happened with those clubs either. So you’re picking up some non-existent inconsistency.

We all know of the success Hollywood brings. On the other hand, there is also a large number of failures and then the circus moves on. The rhetoric from Wrexham is all positive from the new owners in true Hollywood script. I hope their dream comes true but the fans should bare in mind, like a failed film, that if the success is not forthcoming their current benefactors could move on to their next project in true Hollywood fashion.
