Ive been watching the pre season videos on youtube, and over the last few day i couldnt help but notice Lennel wasnt there, just wondered if hes picked up an injury, he certainly looked as though he had been working out in the gym a lot by photographs last week, just hope hes ok.  On another note, its gonna be very hot at the Cleethorpes friendly today, it will certainly test the players in this heat.

Him or Taylor aren't in the starting 11 either.

The way people are getting pinged left, right and centre it wouldn't surprise me if some of our squad are isolating.

Chance perhaps to see if Ira can step up in pre season to earn a squad place, and then not having to be sent out on loan or leave us?

Hurst has said he can go, why would he play him in a pre season friendly designed to ready the team for the proper games.

I can not follow that clip further than Pearson.

To put him the shop window a little, if he does well in a couple of preseason appeances teams might want to try and sign him or loan him

I don't mind Roy Keane making £60,000 a week. I was making the same when I was playing. The only difference was I was printing my own - Mickey Thomas

The area you are trying to protect at corners is the goal - Chris Kamara

May be hot, but at least itll keep their muscles warm, so fingers crossed Sicknote Scannell wont pull up after 5 minutes and sit the rest of the season out. If he stays fit, he could tear the league a new one this season.

Yes but how else do you move a player on if he's not playing any football for scouts to come and see, bring him on as sublet him show what he can do. One it might help to move him on which is what Hurst wants, two if we have an injury crisis/covid crisis and we've not moved him he's somewhat match fit and used to the system Hurst is installing three you're not risking injuries to your own player who you want ready for the season. It doesn't hurt the situation at all to give him 10/15 minutes here and there over the course of preseason same for the others we're trying to move on when you can have 11 subs on the bench and use all 11 subs.

Hate to say it but he will be on next to nothing wages wise , so,it will be up to Ira and his agent  to get clubs watching his showreel ( which is good BTW) and get trialling. No chance of Hirst helping him.

I'd like to see him loaned for half a season to somebody in our division so if he does show he has it in him at this level we can bring him back for the run in. I accept though that Hurst will loan him to whoever he can to get his admittedly small amount off the wage bill (at least partially). I would guess he would go to NLN/NLS

So he gets game time ahead of a pro we’ve brought in for next season.

It’s his agents job to put him in the shop window not GTFC’s and to be honest I’d doubt that they’ll be many clubs looking in the window that an away friendly at Cleethorpes offers.

To add to this I think this afternoon would be better suited for him if he can find a trial game somewhere.

Questions need to be asked about the training regime when players are not even getting a proper pre-season.  Having said that, LJL looked over-muscled in the photos and videos as though he has overdone the weights at the expense of flexibility.

Bit of a concern, at least all the sausages must feel safe for now

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”
