For a lot of players (involved in non league, play offs), this season hasn’t even finished yet.

20% discount on season ticket prices, looking after shift workers, NHS staff and armed forces ..
As for new players, were 1 week into the end of our season, NL yet to finish and any negotiations will have only just started, patience is a virtue as they say

With the National League games still on, it wouldn't be a surprise to me to find Hurst and others scouting the opposition in advance of next season and looking at prospects.

He certainly won't announce anyone until the ink is dry !!

The bit I liked was that he spoke about his discussions with Hurst but rather than take any glory from it, he's left it for Hurst to talk about.

I only started posting on here to sympathise with you but I have followed this forum ever since I worked over there.
Last year I was surprised at how excited the majority of you were about Mr Holloway.  There was no reason for it.  All you had was someone talking a good job.  You are in exactly the same place now with the new management.
You need to take a position of lets wait and see.
The team I follow has also completely changed its management and the new set up of the board looks encouraging but long experience has taught me:
Talk is cheap
Wait and see
Hiring names as Player or Manager normally precedes a cockup.
Dont hire players for what they were like against you two seasons ago.
Re hiring past players doesnt work most of the time.
None of us really know how good our youth players are and they may be a bettter bet than spending money you dont have..
But best of luck for next season anyway.

Just listened to the interview. A breath of fresh air, upbeat and enthusiastic. Leaving the football side of things to Hursty and not interfering is the right thing to do. As far as ST's are concerned 20% off is far better than what the previous regime would have offered, if anything.

Change is happening, bring on the good times. The future's starting to look bright.


You can please some of the forumites some of the time but not all the forumites all of the time
