The fact they used the word Philanthropy already stands them head and shoulders above the outgoing idiots...

What the f@@k has stamp collecting got todo with running a football club ? !!!

😉

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

Kristine on the Board, that’s great news

That is one of those good news stories they have on regional news programmes. And rightly so. Her trajectory has been remarkable.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

& Dave Roberts deservedly retains his place (if the stories are to be believed, then all Town fans should be raising a glass in thanks to Dave's crucial role in getting this started )

Also pleased that Kristine has been appointed to the Board.   Jason said that his company always recognised and rewarded talent.

Fenty and his WASPs old-boys club never moved into the 21st Century.

People already moaning

I doubt Day will be around by the time the new season kicks off. Seems fair that he is hanging around to complete a transition period.

Take my money GTFC

Who's moaning, not me for certain as I have posted elsewhere I am very pleased happy ecstatic, so who are you referring to?

Why is Day hanging around? when we already have a CEO.

In one of Hurst's pre-match comments, he referred to new training facilities in several month's time as part of the future. Nothing in this statement about that.

It's not about being impatient but as they put it 'they want fans to be involved'. Involved in what?
Yes, I want all fans to be involved in a future prosperous club eventually back in the championship but we need to know what the plans/intentions are.

Some may say that they only took over today, however, these are very astute business men and I am sure that they, in the last several weeks, we're making some sort of business plan for the future. A small look at the future would be nice to comfort us going into NL.

I read it differently - Day stays to ensure a smooth handover and then goes. Stockwood is chairman, Day has no job.

This is not unusual in a takeover, you keep someone around who can answer all the questions.

And tell you where all the bodies are buried....

As for the statement, there’s enough in there to set a general direction and overall strategy of listening, engaging and sharing with fans and the general community.

They’re talking about having a common goal from which we all benefit, and how they’re going to go about achieving it at the moment, by setting a new cultural agenda which is chalk and cheese from the recent approach.

The detail of exactly what they will do will come soon enough and I’m sure a lot of those specific action plans are already in place and some of them, such as upgrading the training ground, are already happening.

Today is a day for celebration - the first for a while.

Up the even mightier Mariners.

They aren't going to talk about specifics such as plans for training facilities in their first ever statement though, are they?
