Noooooooo.

Nobody is counting..........honestly

Its just like any other day except this is the start of something new, something good, and something to be proud of.

So actually not like any other day in recent history then. Sorry. My bad.

I am so excited today, never been that excited for a very, very long time.  It's not like me to go overboard, but I feel like a 6 year old kid on Christmas morning waiting to open his presents.

I’d liken it more to relieving yourself of a massive shìt that you’ve been waiting ages for. The feeling is one of relief more than anything else, but boy does it feel good all the same.

It’s just a shame that in this instance we appear to have soiled ourselves ever so slightly, waiting for it to happen. But fear not, those stains will come out in the wash.

a flat mate of mine back in my University days thought it would be hilarious to feed me a powerful laxative cunningly disguised as chocolate. It was involuntary double ended evacuation action from me later on that day. I think that would be my metaphor of choice. Felt pretty cleansed the next day, though.

I still have reservations about the takeover.  Like why do they want to change it from a public company to a private one?

I don't like to be a downer, but is anyone else a little worried that it might not go through? The vast, VAST majority of town fans seem to want the takeover to happen, but it's still possible that the vote might not pass, correct? I just don't want to get too excited because I'm so used to things going wrong with Town... But here's hoping it all goes through and we have new owners by the end of the day! UTM

Honestly it makes very little difference. As a small business there is no reason at all for the club to operate as a PLC. Being a PLC means the shares can be traded on the stock market, which brings a huge amount of additional costs and complexity.

Normally even the smallest PLC’s turnover 100’s millions.

To put it into context Chelsea, Spurs, Man City and Liverpool are all limited co’s rather than PLC’s.

With apologies to leonard Cohen

Don't really know who sent me
To raise my voice and say
May the lights in The Land of Fenty
Shine on the truth some day.
I don't know why I come here,
Knowing as I do,
What you really think of me,
What I really think of you.
For the millions in a lockdown,
That wealth has set apart
For the Manager not risen,
From the caverns of the heart
For the innermost decision,
That we cannot but obey
For what's left of our Mariners,
I lift my voice and pray
May the lights in The Land of Fenty
Shine on the truth some day.
I know I said I'd meet you,
I'd meet you at BP,
But I can't buy it, baby.
I can't buy the football league.
And I don't really know who sent me,
To raise my voice and say
May the lights in The Land of Fenty
Shine on the truth some day.
I don't know why I come here,
Knowing as I do,
What you really think of me,
What I really think of you.
For the innermost decision
That we cannot but obey
For what's left of our dear haddock
I lift my voice and pray
May the lights in The Land of Fenty
Shine on the truth some day.
