I'm heartbroken tonight with the tragic and shock death of Dean Brown.
Dean was a top lad (in both senses of the word) and had been following Town for 40 years, always leading from the front.
A real character and there will be a host of funny stories that i and others could tell about his exploits.
Despite living in Stockton for many years, whilst working in London, he always loved Town and he always loved Grimsby with a passion.

RIP Dean - proud to have been a friend of yours for 35 years

Sorry for your loss FI.

Don’t know the name but probably would recognise the face.

RIP

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

RIP Dean, fellow Mariner...

'I walked in the dressing room. The window was open and I thought that a sea fret had got in. Then I saw smoke billowing from a pipe in the corner of the room...it was my centre-forward. He looked seven stone wet through. He went on to score thirty-odd goals that season.' Lawrie McMenemy on encountering the legend that was Matt Tees.
