Here is a question and dilemma for you all to consider

If the deal for the consortium fell over in the next day or so, what would you want John Fenty to do?

Option 1
Remain as is in supporting the club financially.

Or

Option 2
Walk away from the club now, by not supporting the club financially any further, with no other buyers on the horizon. With the club starting to repay his loans which they have never had to do before. Which in turn places further financial burden on the club. John not having to sell his shares either at this time.

Or

Option 3
As option 2 but John takes back his loans in one lump sum immediately.

How about you answer a question?

If this falls through will Fenty actually “start” supporting the club financially rather than just underwriting the sustainable model you’ve previously described?

I’d imagine he would continue to support the club as he presently does

But I’m more interested in what fans would really want him to do, when push comes to shove, and the very existence of a Grimsby Town Football Club could be at risk

My preference would be to not answer hypothetical questions engineered as a result of rumour and counter rumour.

When was the last time and how much did JF support the club as opposed to taking funds out?

Serious question.

Loathe as I am to get involved in this thread, I have to point out that it's league payments and fan income that funds the club in the main. JF is there as a backstop but I'm absolutely certain the club could and would carry on without him should he vacate the building. Problem being that he won't go until he has "his money" back.
