Sack their manager.

Teams seem to see us coming over the hill and spot it as a perfect opportunity to get rid quickly. How many have sacked their manager within weeks of playing us this season?!

Salford do my head in.

Because they chuck a load of money at it, they'll claim their approach, or 'model', works.

They are directly part of the problem that modern football has, in that they want and expect instant success.

I don't doubt that part of Wellens' remit was to make the play-offs, and it looks like they're going to struggle a bit.

But blimey, never forget where you've come from and try and enjoy the success that comes your way first.

They've had promotion after promotion, won the FL Trophy at Wembley... some might say we need more of this urgency (disguised as passion) but, call me old fashioned, even weak, I'd rather not be so aggressive about it all.

Salford are a play-thing. I guess they're less vulnerable to their owners packing it in, but it still feels like they'll implode one day.

The amount of managers been sacked makes me wonder whether there needs some regulation in place as to how many managers you can have in a season. Players can only play for 2 teams per season, so I believe and can only move in 2 transfer windows unless out of contract. Maybe something along these lines should be introduced for managers. Cannot see the point in Salford sacking Wellens with only 11 games left and what Barrow did with Jolley does not seem right as I assume they completed the recruitment process then offered him the job.

I imagine managers are quite happy with the merry-go-round. They get paid up each time, and always seem to land a job somewhere else.
