Well they don't get much bigger do they, surely nothing short of a win will be enough now.

Paul Hurst has revealed James Hanson is struggling with a groin problem and is a doubt for Town’s crucial game against Barrow on Tuesday after missing Saturday’s draw at Mansfield.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

If fans were allowed we would be taking loads to a must win game.

If fans were allowed in I’m doubtful that this would’ve even been a must win game

Against a team that has found form and won their last 4 games, extremely hard to see them not continuing that run. The time for must win games has come and gone, we're 10pts adrift ffs.

Most teams end their run of form against us. Admittedly it's normally poor form, but maybe Barrow's good form will come to an end on Tuesday?

I have nothing at all to back that up.  Just blind faith. (What a great band they were!)

Are we even chasing Barrow anymore? More likely to catch Colchester than them now given their form. Still need a win mind, whoever we are playing.

We need to play with the gay abandon of condemned men. Throw caution to the wind, cast our worries aside, and wonderful things might happen.

Barrows recent form has to come to an end one day, so it might as well be against us. Hanson's out but we scored 2 goals without him and Menayese should be back. I can say with full confidence it's a win. We have to be optimistic in these dark and desperate times.

Sounds like a song from a musical.

I can see it now. The new Broadway smash hit. About, Paul, a hardworking, buttoned-up man from the industrial rust belt of the Midwest, struggling to keep his ailing off-Broadway theatre company going, whilst paying the rent to miserly landlord Sheldon Fivestar and dreaming of angel investors.

Classic songs like Paul’s song to the chorus line ‘We got to keep us shape’, stage manager Sniffer Dawg’s ‘I know nuffink’, and Phil Coffer’s  ‘never mind the source, count the cash’.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

This is our game in hand on those directly above us. If, and it's still a big if, we win it, and us Colchester and Southend maintain our form of the previous four games over the rest of the season, which for us was only four draws, four points out of twelve, we'll be three points ahead of Southend and only a couple behind Colchester. With Williams and Spokes throwing their hand in as additional options and looking up for the fight, three points on Tuesday could make the complexion of the relegation dogfight change from complete despair to grasping onto a little bit of realistic hope and reinvigoured fighting spirit. I'm not quite sure we're totally out of it yet, and Walsall are dropping like a stone too..

Putting aside the fact I'm a Grimsby fan and I'm desperate for us to win. Surely thhe neutrals who watch the FL want us to win to make it a tasty finish to the season. I'm confident, if he picks the right team that we can get a positive result

Amazing what can be done with a excrement football team with the right mindset! I’ve always said to be playing at a professional level then you’ve got to be a very good player. There is not that much between all 24 teams in this league as results of proven, this league for me is not about budgets, it’s all about good management.

Barrow will be coming into this with bags of confidence. Not only their winning streak but getting goals late in games. They will know that if they just keep going they will get a result.

Hopefully they will be overconfident.

This could have been one of those ‘where you at...’ games if crowds were allowed.

It depends 'what' team turns up on the night. We dont want any player to have an off day, they all have to be 'at the Ball'. We dont want the team that played the first half at Mansfield, weve got to be 'at it' from the first minute. It could be plenty of nail biting stuff tmorro night, lets hope the lads 'click'.

Apart from his preparation for the match Hurst's team talk should be very simple.

If you win you have a very good outside chance of being L2 players at the end of the season.
Lose and you are part of a relegated team.

Just watched Hurst's pre match and the team choice is not looking good. Adams of to his national camp and another, unnamed player from Saturdays line up injured! Looks like Saturdays team with Menayese in for Waterfall and a replacement for the unnamed man. Room for, presumably, 2 more on the bench.

We didn't know where the goals were coming from on Saturday but they came. No defeats in the last 4 for us and Barrow are due to have their run ending sometime, so it may as well be tonight. Hopefully their over confidence will see them off and a victory for us. Definitely going to win and stay up.

Check list - optimism high, win confidence high, bottle of wine cooling and a cold Guinness ready. Am I watching it, of course I am.

Unfortunately a team, ANY team, is only as strong as its weakest player. Only 1 person has to make a tiny mistake and it can be catastrophic for the whole team.

We need a mindset which is 125% focused. What we really need is 11 players who can read each others minds, but we know how likely that is when we have seen how 2 central defenders cant even communicate with their mouths.

I’ve a feeling the injured player may be Lamy, could be wrong but it seemed odd he came off to me.

I really hope we see Williams start, he properly seemed up for grabbing it by the scruff of the neck, a trait I’ve not seen in any player all season. Something I absolutely did not expect to be saying about him previously, there’s always been a decent player there but he was probably at the bottom of the ‘fighters’ list.

I've never been a fan of Williams since the Scunny game, that said I thought he did OK on Saturday and if he puts his mind to it could be a decent player. I was thinking Matete who could be injured instead of Lamy who is either slightly better than average or crap. To me Lamy needs a bit more consistency.

Jackson's interview was good but he didn't live up to it on Saturday. Lets hope it's not a bad omen for Williams.

Of course we're going to win.

We have qto be realistic, Williams was inconsistent even in his best performance so far which was Saturday, some terrible corners and absolutely shocking free kicks before that golden beauty he popped in. We are desperately short of quality tho so I would assume he would be given responsibility again after that confidence boost.

How many corners did he take? I thought the one we scored from was one of the best we have taken for a while.

I don't think we have had a decent corner taker for some seasons now.

We are at the sage now where the opposition is irrelevant. We need wins. And plenty of them. Whoever we are playing.

We have gone beyond the point where a draw is a good result. It's wins now.

I think we will do it tonight.

Yeah fair enough, he also kicked one straight out of play didn't he which is dreadful at league level, to not even be able to get it on to the pitch. His free kick earlier invthe game was another shocker, probably went over the houses behind the stadium, not just the goal and stand.

If he was knocking in these great corners and free kicks more often then fair enough but we all know the dreadful ones have been far more representative of him so far.

He obviously has more ability than many in our squad (a low bar) but he really has only very fleetingly shown this in actual games, and even more fleetingly to actual game effect. How many goals/assists before Saturday? Anyway let's hope this gives him a boost and he does try and be an influence on games more now, we really are utterly desperate for an improvement in results.

Not sure on Williams’ answers in the pre-match interview on iFollow. Asked if it was a must-win game he sort of eeked out a non-committal “well it’s not all over if we don’t win” kind of answer. A simple “yes” would’ve been a bit more reassuring, even Hurst managed that much.

Barrow will be coming into this with bags of confidence. Not only their winning streak but getting goals late in games. They will know that if they just keep going they will get a result.

Hopefully they will be overconfident.

This could have been one of those ‘where you at...’ games if crowds were allowed.

Looks like it would have been one of those games. The atmosphere would have been brilliant at the end.

Let’s hope that was a season defining game. The team delivered when it needed to.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

OMG!
It's the hope that kills isn't it? I couldn't watch or listen after we scored. Switched everything off until I knew the match would be 100% finished!
Well done lads.

The only time I did something similar to that was when I went outside for the last 5 minutes of the Cup game against Everton when we won 1-0.  So much pressure from Everton, I was sure they were going to score.
