One of the worst things about going down for exiles is the assumed probability that there won’t be a league wide iFollow type thing next year. I guess if they were to introduce such a system it would be next year after all the teams have been running their own streaming services. Any chance each team will be allowed to do so again next year / a league wide thing?

Don't BT Sports still have exclusive rights to the conference?

I asked on 1FF a while ago about what the deal is for them this season and was told they all have their own players now but prices and quality vary. I think the most expensive was £12 a game. Like you said though, no word on what will happen about that as far as I know. As shite as this season has been, it's been good being able to watch as much Town as we want for a tenner a pop. If fans are allowed back in though, I'm not sure if it will be on the table.

Had this convo on twitter, last week I think it was. Article 48, which is a blackout of 3pm fixtures on a Saturday, has been suspended by UEFA because there are no fans in stadiums. The plan is for this to be reinstated once capacities are at least 50%, which is hopefully August.
So on the current information we know - UK based fans will not be able to view 3pm matches online when fans return. It won't change access for those outside of the UK.
With regards to an iFollow equivalent in the National League should we be relegated. There is no league wide platform as already mentioned, looking individually clubs have sorted some pieces out as we saw with D&R.
Will keep it in mind for an appropriate time to ask but it is possibly to be in mind of exiles outside of the UK as the club will be bound by UEFA Statutes.

I believe that the National League rules insist that all clubs have to film their home games and provide footage to BT Sport. This was the case when we were there the last time. In most cases they were filmed by unpaid students who had to upload the highlights shortly after the game finished. Some were good some were crap, some didn't know where the zoom button was on the camera Of course whilst no fans were allowed into grounds clubs were allowed to screen the games but I would doubt the same would be the case when fans are allowed back in.

Yeah, worried about this too. I could watch the games living in Scotland pre-corona too (even Sat 3pm kick-offs) for like a fiver a pop using a European VPN and my Monzo card (doesn't charge for foreign exchange fees). Kinda got me back into watching football again and following our team. Was great to be able to watch all the games. At least we'll still have the BT sports games, and I guess quality over quantity with more than 1 camera angle, a pre/HT/post show and actual dedicated commentators rather than BBC Humberside overlayed ontop with Burnsy cutting in every 15 mins with the latest from over the bridge.

I was looking into this earlier, couldn't find anything particularly definite. I think BT Sport have exclusive rights to games in the UK, so clubs will not be able to stream domestically, however it looks like they can stream overseas (think Notts County may already do so). It rattles me that Sky/BT restrict whole fanbases watching their club, for the sake of a highlights reel (particularly if Quest have Runaway on).
If so and we end up in the National League, perhaps we can find a suitable member of the Trust or Club to champion its cause for the overseas Mariners. Otherwise Mariners could pick up other overseas streams from rival clubs.
Shame to lose out on iFollow as it is a reasonable service i think.

I guess that's a point, but unlike iFollow which is ran by the EFL, money will be going to the rival's pocket rather than ours where even on away games we take home some of the kitty. If they do a good job I wouldn't mind that much but it's not ideal.

It would be fantastic if we weren't allowed to watch anymore this season never mind next.
I have heard the club are planning on releasing the highlights for this season on a snapchat video.
