"Kyril Louis-Dreyfus has become Sunderland chairman at the age of 23 after his takeover was approved by the English Football League.
The Swiss is the son of former Marseille owner Robert Louis-Dreyfus and becomes the youngest chairman in English football."
The reason I bring it up is that the takeover was agreed in December and according to reports took longer than usual to be given the green light by the EFL.
Think JF agreed the Shutes takeover in late December so it can't be long now if the EFL give it the green light.

Oh. This is awkward. Are you harvesting my dreams again Poojah? The one where we harness James McKeown’s arms for offshore wind windmill technology, reinvest the profits into a Pyewipe fish farm, make our first billion, buy GTFC and make the first team play in untreated cod skin?

Ah, now in my dreams the plain fails at the first hurdle as his arms spill the wind into the back of a fishing net. That aside, we should probably both lay off the PCP a bit.

Can you think of a bigger club in the third tier of their national league anywhere in the world? He’s picked Sunderland up for relative peanuts. If he returns them to the Premier League what would they be worth?

Agreed, but we’ve all seen the Netflix show, the club is a basket case and arguably too arrogant for its own good. It’s the problem up there, the fans of either Newcastle or Sunderland, and probably people involved in the club have these slightly skewed view of their size and stature. Yes the have decent fan bases but in reality they’re not massive on a successful scale. If the dude has some forward thinking ideas and is realistic then he could move the club forward but it won’t happen overnight. However, you can see why he chose them...that said, sunderland seem to have a new owner every couple of years, we’re just desperate for the one...

So do i, but he's also taken over a club with premier league facilities from top to bottom. He basically has a much easier job than if he took over Newcastle for example. Get Sunderland to the premier league again, and he will become a hero. With everything they've got, that shouldn't take too long with a bit of ambition.

I said the following to fans of 'bigger' clubs when they were all sh*t scared of playing us under Buckley.....
You don't get a single point for the size of your ground, your average gate, the number of season ticket holders you have or how many times you won the league in the days of brylcream and baggy shorts.

I still like it when after being relegated Sunderland fans said “we need to get out of this Division”. Meaning that they should be getting promoted at their first attempt.
They got their wish to get of the Division. Relegated to Div 1 at the earliest opportunity. 😄😄😄
And losing another Wembley final to boot.
Pride goes before a fall.

Well they've made it to Wembley again by beating Lincoln this week, giving them the opportunity to achieve the legendary "10 IN A ROW". (Consecutive defeats at Wembley in various competitions )
