Wright is just the latest in a long line of players that are forever picking up niggles and strains.
Yes, there's always the odd player that is genuinely injury prone and sadly isn't physically cut out for full-time football. But it seems like we appear to have more than anyone else.
Or is it just that our set-up is so bloody tin-pot that we don't do sports science at all? When the attitude at the club is that a S&C coach doesn't win you 3 points, it's no wonder we pick up injuries left, right and centre. So few of our injuries are impact injuries, it's all muscular and at some point you have to point the finger at the root cause.

Do we know that? I don't know how many injuries other sides have. Apart from Max, Hurst said just about every player is now fit to play.

Nope, largely conjecture on my part.
But I would be confident it is the case. 21st century football with 19th century infrastructure.
I don't think it's particularly uncommon that a hell of a lot of players pass through our doors with wide eyes at our lack of everything.

There are reams of newspaper articles on the Liverpool injury crisis. I think they have decent facilities.

I think Liverpool's injuries were identified as a fall-out from over exposure in the last few years, heightened by the condensing of games to complete the season, then quickly turned around into the new season. Klopp has come in for a lot of criticism for not rotating his players enough, whereas the likes of Pep have. I think this was one of the key drivers behind the extra substitutes.
You can have the best facilities in the world, but you can only flog something so far. We can't really claim we've flogged Max Wright over too many games.
There was a lot of these big name/club injuries and talk of the over playing of players before Xmas but that seems to have died down a bit as, I'm guessing, managers who got better at rotating and adapting to the demands. But we've had these issues for donkeys years now.

Some players have a few years of injury then dont have any for years, saying he is not robust enough for league football is a load of crap. How often have you seen him bullied? never. hes as tough as anyone in the squad, anyone can pick up injuries like that and he will have long spells without.

Hmm....it's bloody amazing that Klopp didn't moan about his tired players when they were running away with the league. Ten points adrift of Man City and suddenly he's whining like Arsene Wenger.

Pains me to agree with this
