Apart from the open corners and the sheet roofs, in the days of the Barratt I think we were pretty close to being all wood weren't we...

Did they learn nothing from Bradford.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you give him an excuse for him to escape from the wife and kids for the weekend and drink lots of beer.

Of course they did. Wood is perfectly safe if treated correctly.

I think it looks fantastic.

I know that it is made of wood.  But wasn’t the main problem and source at Bradford all the accumulated litter?  And allowing smoking in the ground.

We lived in a timber framed house that was fire-safe and insured at normal rates.

No matter how good it looks and how safe fire resistant wood is these days I would hate us to build our new stadium out of it, just doesn't seem right to me.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Say what you like about Dale Vince - personally I wouldn't want meat products to be banned from BP just because the chairman is a vegan - but the national and international news coverage FGR have received under his tenure is nothing short of phenominal. They've been featured on BBC Radio 4's Today programme (the BBC's flagship news and current affairs programme, for frick's sake), BBC Breakfast, The One Show and have had positive coverage in countless national newspapers.

Wouldn't it be great if Town had similar national exposure across such a wide range of media for being forward thinking, rather than for inviting convicted fraudsters into the club and Covid darts?

For what it's worth, I think the stadium looks great as well.

Knowing our luck if we built a wooden stand there would be an attack of mutant termites.
