Philosophical. Didn’t watch. Went for a looong walk. Wasn’t surprised we lost to Newport. Disappointed but not surprised. Thought we might grind out a draw.

We’re no worse off than I expected us to be this month.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

Utterly fed up of sh1te teams, season after season. Long winless runs are the norm, rather than the exception. Fed up that fooking Harrogate are a better team than us and can put the ball in the net most weeks.

I really don't understand how we can keep putting together sides that can't even do the basics. Control the ball, pass the ball to a team mate and put in a decent cross or set piece.

Fed up knowing that if we go behind it's game over, but most of all fed up that I still care and will be p1ssed off until at least Tuesday, then from Wednesday onwards, I will convince myself that we can win on Saturday, before we lose again to Tranmere.

So yeah, fed up.

I think deep down I expected us to lose today but I take comfort that we played better, we need to get that first win now because our chances of beating the drop is getting more difficult, we just need a bit of luck and get a run together, it’s a big ask I know but I haven’t given up just yet.

Grimsby and proud!

I’d be confident if Holloway had gone a month earlier but I think there’s too much to do.

We can’t halt the losing streak and look mikes away from a winning one.

I reckon they’ll be plenty more frustrating game days to endure as we progress away from “f*****g hopeless” to “unlucky”.

Only realistic hope is that the National League can it and we get a reprieve.

Stevenage were absolutely rubbish. They’ll be in the bottom 2

That team that beat us last week you mean?

Every chance of what? Just posted this on another thread

Next 4 games Tranmere, Exeter, Crawley and Harrogate. We need 7/9 points and tbh I think a free pot of tea at Betty's in Harrogate is a favourite.

After that Orient, Carlisle, Forest Green and Colchester and another 7/9 points needed.

All of these games are not going to be easy and at the end of this period of time it will make 35 played. The likely hood if we get 14 points is that we will not be above Bolton and Bradford and hopefully keeping on par with Stevenage and Barrow.

Games are running out and all the teams above us have to do is match our results.

I'm gutted after todays loss against 10 men for the majority of the game, and fecking Scotland beat us in the rugby.

No midweek game to try and rectify things as well.

The alcohol is numbing the pain though

Mariners lost. Check.

England lost (and deservedly so). Check.

Veggie chilli con carne for dinner (not my choice).  Check.

Even the wife and kids escaped the veggie chilli after our four year old may - or may not have - sprayed a miniscule amount of Dettol in the pan.

At least the Doom Bar (and Dettol no doubt) is numbing the pain.
