Mobile version of the website

Sorry if it’s been covered elsewhere but I’m no longer able to see The Fishy website in mobile version on my iPhone. Is this an ongoing issue or just me?

Same on my Android phone today!

I have just fixed it. Please refresh your browsers.

I noticed a stray brace in the CSS earlier today which has been there for years and was syntactically wrong and removed it. Unfortunately, bizarrely it was needed for the wrong reasons as it took out the following rule which was wrong.

I have removed both now.

Reported it to Rob an hour ago and he’s looking at it 👍

Ah, getting it syntactically wrong. What a brilliantly GTFC way to fúck up a messageboard.

Whilst we're moaning about mobile issues, can I moan about some CSS/styling stuff?

This is reproducible if you put Chrome Dev Tools into responsive mode (iPhone XR size).

You can see the thread doesn't actually expand properly to the width of the screen (you can see the grey background on the right hand side, depends how far you are on the thread).

This is more noticeable if you enable an adblocker

I think the ad styling is incorrect and it's expanding out of the viewport. There isn't an issue on desktop.

There's issues on my iPhone too where I have to scroll horizontally to read a thread, even with content blockers disabled.

(p.s. might be worth looking into some alternative forum software like Discourse, I bet it's pretty painful trying to support an unsupported platform like e-Blah!)

I have never had a problem I don't know what you are all talking about.

I've always had that issue with long threads, particularly match threads.  As soon as it gets to around 15 pages, it stops wrapping to fit the screen properly.  It's not a huge problem, just thought I'd mention it while we're burdening Rob with all our tech issues.

Refreshed my browser on my phone has worked for me.. back to normal again now

Open Chrome.
Click “Settings” from the browser menu bar.
Find “Privacy” from the menu.
Scroll down to the bottom and click “CLEAR BROWSING DATA”
Once you have cleared the browser history you can load the website to see the latest update.

I have changed the url of the css so cached copies shouldn't be a problem now. It should be basically back to what it was.

If you go into your Member Centre there is a Theme called "Full Screen" in "Language and Theme" which might look better on some resolutions as there isn't a grey border at the edge.
