Straight away you start looking at his career and see he was loaned to two fourth division sides, barely played, and on each occasion had his stay cut short.

If you know nothing else, you may be tempted to stay away.

Maybe West Brom rate him too highly to be playing at this level. Maybe he might pop up in their first team, like Josh Benson has for Burnley.

Maybe he's being misled by an agent or mismanaged by managers. Either way, it just goes to show how determined you need to be to have any success in this game. You can see how talented players can fall through the cracks or even fall out of love with the game, given the way it works these days.
