From memory, Hurst likes 2 players for each position, and then 3 young ones that can cover multiple positions. I think we're probably looking at something like:

GK: Eastwood/McKeown
RB: Hendrie /Hewitt
CB: Pollock/Waterfall
CB: Menayese/ Idehen
LB: Habergham/Bunney
RW: Morais/Wright
CM: Rose/Clifton
CM: Matete/Williams
LW: El Mizouni/Adams
ST: Payne/Jackson Jr
ST: Hanson/LJL

Others: Spokes, Russell, Bennett

Some of those you've listed are on 2 or 3 year contracts. I'd be surprised if any of them leave tbh. Who is going to come in for any of them if the NL is suspended?

Also confidence is a huge thing in football that many consistently overlook. It is not beyond the bounds of possibility that if the team does manage to pick up some confidence/form that some of those could look much better players than they have done so far this season. Scannell for example was MoM when we won away at Crawley, Williams looked good away to Orient and Hewitt, Spokes and Clifton have all had some decent performances here and there.

I think you are maybe suffering from pre-season syndrome when we have a team full of new players that we think are going to be great but have not seen play yet, no point jumping the gun and paying players off until we are more sure of the quality brought in.

Don’t think we’ll see Bennett again, Preston gone. Even so, that’s a big reserve squad!

Well Hurst did say when came in he'd been given the go ahead to split the squad in 2, He'll pick his 22-24 players and if we can't offload the rest will go off and train on their own I suppose....
