Alex Rodman. Is he signing today?

I suspect he may be.

Don't think so a bit of a utility player for the Gas.

Only 32 mins for Rovers this season, he has been injured most of it and he returned on boxing day.

He'll be in the starting 11 on Saturday then. Just our type of player....

Injured is a bit of an exaggeration. He was out due to ear complications related to an ear infection he suffered a while back.

In any case as of 3pm at least looking very unlikely Bristol Rovers will let him leave as he's in their plans now back in the fold. Anything could change if they find a striker they need to generate funds for but that also looks unlikely as they don't want to sign just anyone and very little good  options are available.

Amusingly they are saying this in the Bristol papers:

"The Gas know they really could do with some added quality up top, but with their primary targets off the table they are cautious not to panic and repeat the mistakes made with the likes of Stefan Payne.

Clubs will be eager to profit from desperation on deadline day, and it can be difficult to find quality or value, let alone both married together.

The biggest question that will be asked is why has it got to deadline day without the issue being sorted? Alarm bells were ringing in November when the Gas went to Wigan without a single fit striker and I think many supporters were expecting movement at the start of the window. "

Why about a swap deal with Green going there. ?
