Todays lot wouldn't even be ball boys. You went to a match wondering not when, but how many we would score. Unfortunately today's game was the opposite. How many would they score! A squad that had 5 forwards each capable of scoring 20 goals a season, and that is without Mickey Brolley's goals. As someone said previously, you went to the matches confident that we would win.

It’s a shame that because of the times & technology there is relatively little TV footage to illustrate it. George deserves lots of credit for turning John Newman’s “good side” coming up from Division 4 into champions the following season. It did unnerve me though when he used to refer to the Scunts as “us” when he commentated on RH but I guess he had a long association with them as a player so he can be forgiven for that. Top man, and in all this madness it’s good to hear he’s ok. "Crombie you would have got to that if you weren't such a fat ba%$@rd" - George Kerr, inspiration from the dug out 70s style
