Better than anything we have now.

Let's not damn the guy with faint praise, Ron!

First time I saw the Lump I thought 'carthorse'. Then I started noticing what he brought to the team.
Sprinting stats don't tell the whole story...

A player like him is exactly what we need at the moment.

Not that one but that’s a quality strike too. This one was at home, seem to recall Danny North played a back heel i think and Jones hit it with the outside of his boot

Great idea from Marine to make up for lost revenue from the lockdown, affecting their match V Spurs this afternoon.

You can get a virtual ticket for a tenner, which is effectively a donation after they’ve lost about £100k in revenue including a sponsor pulling out of a £20k advertising deal.

https://marinefc.ktckts.com/merchandise/mne2021facr3/marine-v-tottenham-hotspur-virtual-match-ticket

They’ve already done 10k virtual tickets!

When I listened the interview I couldn't help think what we would do for a player like Lump now.

But then I wondered if our players would be good enough to actually benefit from him?

One of my favourite Town players of all time. Just oozed class on the ball.  If ever there was a player to fit the stereotype of 'just lacked a yard of pace' it was him.  Peerless in every other way.

I think if there is one thing that could be said of him that showed his importance to the team, it's that every other player who was paired with him looked infinitely better playing alongside him than with any other partner. Ready, North and Taylor all played their best games when partnered by him.

Closest we've got now I would suppose is Hanson, but for me he's nowhere near the player Jones was.
