Yeah, make sure you behave everyone because it’s getting to be an absolute ball ache having to get together with the lads in the makeshift bar in my garage.

Southampton v Shrewsbury FA Cup game called off.

Is it time for football to take a break?

I cannot see how it can carry on teams driving all over the country.

Trouble is, it’s not really a football issue - the population is under siege from the virus. Given that in parts of the country 1 in 30 people have Covid it’s hardly surprising that most clubs are reporting cases, and of course with the lack of social distancing in sporting settings it’s likely to be more than one.

If you take a break now, it means there’s even less time to try and complete the season which of course the authorities will want to do. It’s unlikely that the situation is going to improve markedly for another 2 - 3 months and so I imagine football will simply plough on until such a time it all implodes.

Then perhaps it's  time to stop this obsession with completing the season. Sport isn't really that important in the grand scheme.

Is sport important? Not really. But have I introduced you to my friend money?

More pertinent to the Premier League than League Two, but that’s ultimately what’s behind all of this. The problem the Premier League has this year is the Euros.

If the shìt really hits the fan, I can League’s One and Two getting canned and the Premier League completing in some kind of centralised bubble like they did with the NBA did in the US last year. There’s no way it will be allowed to be cut short with hundreds of millions at stake.
