Hurston. We have a problem. Shumfings wrong with the rocket booshter. Hic.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

A new dawn, an amazing chance to move forward to better things. An opportunity that may never present itself again . In typical Grimsby flipping town we screw up that opportunity with a backwards appointment of a failed manager. You would think that would be bad enough but to read the posts of fans getting excited about the possible return of has been footballers as well is too much. LJL? Really. The board cannot be held responsible for the club not progressing when the majority of the fans are living in the past. We are doomed

Not quite doomed (yet) but I see your point. When the Cowleys walked out of Lincoln there was a huge desire for Gareth Ainsworth to leave Wycombe and return despite the fact he had only been at Lincoln for two years, and left in 1997.

It's like the old girlfriend syndrome - you look back with rose tinted spectacles and forget the reason why you broke up in the first place.

Still, Mr H now has more experience and may have realised after his last two experiences that he needs this to succeed as well. Interesting times ahead - fingers crossed.

The Cowley's would be such obvious candidates given that they are currently free and given where they live, that I would be surprised if we hadn't approached them.

Maybe they turned us down? They might well be aiming for another championship club.
