Are Bristol City saving face...

Why would you recall a player that is playing regularly... I suspect that is not the full story.. but we move on...

Hopefully that will enable us to starting moving players in as well..

We probably couldn't terminate with them being a season long loan. If they've been told that neither will get game time then it would make sense to get them back and out somewhere that they'll play. Suspect Bennett might be harder as Bristol Rovers won't want him back and won't be bothered if we play him or not.

Would have like to see Edwards stay. Poor distribution yes but can beat players for fun at this level - if he can do it in the right areas he could cause problems for the opposition defence, win free kicks and the odd penalty.

Assume that Holloway was given mate's rates on these two and now he's gone they feel they can set up a better loan fee for them elsewhere or sell them. Edwards has some talent but hasn't really hit the ground running and Morton has been fairly anonymous for the most part.

If Hurst can bring in his own players who want to play for him then all the better.

We are too low in the league to afford to let young players learn their trade. Need experienced pro's right now.
