Since Hollow words was announced to much fanfare and optimism.

Who'd have thought we'd have a new manager AND new owners a year later?

It seems like a miracle, but I was saying that this time last year.

It has actually dented my belief in anybody any more; no doubt we will hear more things as time goes on, but he (Ollie) seemed so genuine, so excited and the reception he got till the last few games was brilliant and heartfelt. What the hell was going on behind the scenes makes you shudder.

And that fact in itself should be enough to remind us that it's wise to temper optimism with caution. I wonder how things will look a year from now? The new owners, new manager, and players current and to come have a lot of hard work ahead if the club is going to truly take a significant turn in the right direction.

We were young and naive then.

We are idealistic and fervent now.

Cue the song in the bottom of my message (that’s meant to be ironic by the way)

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

He's still around, and I'm sure he'd still contact me if he feels the need. In truth, he only contacted me a few times over the years. I know I didn't always follow the regulations properly in prior years when it did happen, so I do apologise Forza for the occasion when you were sucked into it, I should have approached it differently on that occasion.
