With this statement JF position has become untenable, he has two options, take the deal and leave in good faith head held high and whatever our fellings as fans we can wish him well as we part ways or he can hold out and face the inevitable  backlash and consequences, trying to carry on his fight with his empire crumbling around him and his support gone, an ever more pathetic figure in a utterly hopeless situation.
