Yes, the Sunderland chairman really does say: "During the course of the last year there have been a lot of different people wanting to take over.

However, even though it is a matter of public record that some of those bidders offered me more money, I felt that they offered less to the club and to the community."







So not every major shareholder is a bag of sh1t in human form, then...

Good point.

The outgoing regime at Sunderland, despite having come from elsewhere geographically, think they were from Eastleigh?, have a better connection to the Sunderland fans than both   Councillor Fenty, who signed a memo of understanding with the Trust and has contradicted it constantly this month, and Chairman Day, who has been watching the Mariners since the 50s, as he states in many interviews, and apparently is loyal to the technology of the 50s too, because Twitter polls dont reflect the views of Town fans.
