So why were the nightingale hospitals built, they don’t seem to have been used much but all those thousands of beds empty, or is it that there aren’t the doctors/ nurses available to man them.

They were built fitted out as a distraction.

You've got it there.

No point having the extra bed capacity if you're pulling critical staff away from other areas.

Which brings up another argument about why there isn't enough staff.
