But how many people remember he was actually banned for 3 years after the fixing scandal in Italy? Listened to his ex teammate Liam Brady who just said he was a lovely guy. He went to that World Cup on the back of three full games back after his ban, it took him three games to get warmed up, then he scored 6 goals in the last three games. Seems significant that none of those like Rossi who appealed against bans were cleared of guilt on appeal.
