Signed and sealed...know he's cracking on but with his experience and coaching badges, personally think he's a great addition.

Just hope he meets Holloway's fitness standards or he won't get a game until May (or end up at Barnet by February)

I like what he says and sounds like a good addition.

Morais spoke exclusively to gtfc.co.uk this afternoon, to discuss his move to the Mariners. "I'm delighted really, I am really excited to work under the manager", said Morais. "He's had an amazing career, I just want to learn from him, you can never stop learning and although I'm 35, I feel I've still got a lot to offer and I feel really good, so I can't wait to get straight into it. It's been really nice to get to know the lads, everyone seems to be good and professional, so I have really enjoyed my first few days.

"It's been really good [to start training], you can tell there is a lot of quality here, we have got a lot of young players but as the manager has said, once you get some experience in there it can definitely help those boys along more and that is what I will try to bring, I love playing for my teams, I am a real team player so if I can come in and help improve my teammates then that is what I want to do.

"I like to work as hard as I can, work harder than the opposition and I like to win my individual battles, I am big on work rate and energy and working hard for the team as a whole first and foremost and help my teammates out. From there, I like to think I can always contribute with a few assists and goals and bring some creativity to the team, but I also like to get back and help defend and muck in! I can play in a number of positions in midfield, I played a bit more centrally for Crawley and Oldham, I was always a winger before that on the right or left, wing-back as well for Bolton so I can play anywhere really in midfield or attack".

We also caught up with the new manager today at Cheapside, who is delighted to secure the services of his new midfielder. "He brings us experience and I love the way he plays, he's two-footed", said Holloway. "I'm delighted that he lives so close to us, he's just what we need at the moment, another senior head, as fit as a flea and he's ready to go. He only came in a couple of days ago and he's been absolutely outstanding. He can play anywhere across the midfield, but he can also play left wing-back, right wing-back, centre mid or even off the striker".

Morais will go straight into manager Ian Holloway's squad tomorrow for the visit of Mansfield Town to Blundell Park. You will be able to catch his first interview with iFollow Mariners later this afternoon.

My Rangers friend always said Moshni was pretty bad. With his credentials shame we never got to see him play for more than 30 mins though.

I’m excited to see Morais and Scannell on the wings if I’m honest, could be quite a handful skill wise - with Max to bring on some pace

I'd rather see him in the middle. We've got lots of attacking wide type players with Scannell, Tilley, Edwards, Windsor and Wright. What we really lack is a ball playing midfielder who makes runs and takes the ball in his stride. I have no idea what his style is, but his pedigree should surely make him a good passer.

All we need now is someone who can stay fit and  get in the box at the right time and put the ball away.

Imho an 18 month contract suggests it's more about what he brings off the pitch than on it
