Ollie is committed to GTFC and buying shares so we are led to believe.

Ollie has literally just sold his house in Bristol. If he hadn't, I would be concerned as our fans are buffoons, plenty have been calling for his head. We absolutely will not get a better manager than Ollie, I'm still amazed he's here. He left Plymouth for Leicester and regretted doing so, I read his autobiography before he came to Town, and he's since said he shouldn't have left like he did.
For that reason, I don't think he'd leave. I may be wrong as Rovers is clearly close to his heart, it's his club but he applied for the job last time and didn't get it so I'm confident he'll stay at Town and when we get back to normal, he will get his own players in (seven loans is not good), and will drive us forward.

Unless Ollie is offered the same deal he has here he won't be going home.

I doubt that would be a problem as he's already accepted a 25% cut to probably not a great deal of money. He isn't here for the cash I'm sure.

I was not referring to the money but a place on the board with the opportunity of taking over when Fenty decides to leave.

I think that’s the issue here, regardless of holloway potentially being interested, I’m not sure he’s what they’re looking for.
They didn’t want him last year, not sure what would change in that time.

There was a quick snipe from the Scunny chairman in his interview the other night about Hurst....about having to pay him for another 2 yrs even though he was sacked for not delivering targets......so i doubt Hurst is particularly skint as is still getting paid, presumably quite well by Scunny and i would think he got a bit of a pay off from Ipswich prior to that. Why rush back to work in these crazy times, probably to a League 2 club...or at best League 1 that will undoubtedly be plagued by money worries, limited budgets and maybe even paying less than he is earning by sat at home.

I wonder if Hurst stops getting paid by Scunthorpe once he gets another club. Can't blame him for seeing out this current situation if so.

That's entirely Swann's fault. If he didn't but a reasonable break clause in the contract, he can hardly blame anybody else for that.

I would expect that most managerial sackings for lack of results will end up with the manager being paid the remainder of his contract until he finds alternative employment or a lump sum negotiated to sever the contract. Maybe the thought of paying him a monthly salary until he gets another job seemed like a good idea...expecting him to have another job within 2/3 months.
