I wonder whether Ollie is going to delve for any more signings, be they loans or otherwise, or if he is planning on putting any of our underperforming players up for loan? I know this may be difficult as only 6 levels of the pyramid are allowed to play at the moment.

Touray Sisay bagged a few goals for Clee Town prior to lockdown 2, and even slotted one home in the Reserves game, so he seems to be rising in confidence.

Ira Jackson Jnr also looks to be scoring.

Now that Premiership and Championship teams are picking their regular starting XI, there will be many players who will be craving to play football who are being left out of the first team. We know that their fitness levels are way up.

Incidentally has Josh Benson been playing for Burnley lately?

Even if they dont play, we could do with a good loan Goalkeeper to kick Macca up the 'arris, a central defender so we dont have to rely on Waterfall and Pollock, a couple of steady Eddie midfielders, and about 30 forwards so we might find ONE that is capable of hitting the back of the net regularly.

Maybe we should go for quality rather than quantity for a change, just a thought.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

He can only take more loans if some of those currently with us are sent back to their parent club and ideally we could return Gomis and Morton for starters.

Our money situation is tight, and we need it to manage the Club financial situation. This season is going to be very rocky, and i for one would manage with the players we have, and we do have a lot this season, lets just concentrate and try to consolidate points when we can. Ollie wishes to play from the back, and it is fairly boring and risky, weve all critisised it, but hes the boss, and we have to go along with that. We will all probably moan till end of the season, and this it what makes a forum. Its not rocket science to know that were not going to be knocking on the promotion door, but you never know. I say we save our money and keep the Club afloat. I will still pay my tenner to ifollow, and give that little bit to help. We have the wkend off, so maybe Ollie will have a bit more time with the players, it may help, it may not, lets see what develops against Hull next week. Be safe everyone, and i have read in the tellywag that we may go to level 3 after lockdown, nothings easy.  UTMM.

Hope he goes for that lad Leicester brought on for the second half last night

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

If we have a decent cup run, that would give us chance to delve into the coffers

I presume this is the lad Tagg and Ollie were referring to.
Interesting story.

They actually had a few that looked pretty decent when they finally got going in the second half.

Time to clean house, as far as i can see Scannell has to be off loaded. It's obvious he doesn't want to be here and a two year contract is a joke. If need be start a crowd funding page for the funds.
