Ultimately, as liked as he was by seemingly the majority of the fans, now he has left the club, it has freed up a good few hundred quid a week in a time when the club needs every penny it can garner.

Well he needs somebody, and fast !

Is he actually living in the area now or is his Mrs back down the south west? If he's commuting it's bound to cut down on time and energy for training and coaching etc plus if his wife isn't up in NE Lincs that will be putting pressure on him

An assistant to either take training or help with watching the opposition is essential I would have thought plus we have so many players on the books how can he possibly coach those who need it and keep an eye on the lengthy injuries etc. Too much work for Holloway alone.

Surely Limbrick was more important than 2-3 of the signings that can’t even get on the pitch? I am thinking the likes os Touray Sisay.

Anyway, best of luck to him. Seemed to love representing Grimsby in whatever capacity he was asked.

Seemed like a good bloke, was friendly and chatty when i spoke with him. Seemed to improve us a tad when he took charge briefly. Certainly goes with my best wishes
