I enjoyed that. Thought Walker and Maguire played well. Thought Calvert-Lewin and Rashford worked hard up front. We're a decent side we just lack an Iniesta/De Bruyne/Pirlo type player to put us in the top draw.

Agree about Maguire and Walker. Before kick off Iike many others winced when I saw Walker as part of a back three, but I thought that he was brilliant, and was often the one reading the game and getting on the end of everything at the back.

Pickford didn't really have a save to make, although they missed a couple of good chances. Then again, so did we .

You don't think that our game plan to nullify their midfield worked and made them look ordinary then? How many saves did Pickford have to make?

Mourinho said, when he took over at Spurs " do you want to watch prity football all the time, or do you want to win things?"

No. They Were ordinary but walked through us first half and should have been out of sight by half time. Even so we all saw what a poor level international competitions are at last time. England scraped a win, good result but you have to see beyond it.

“If all mankind minus one, were of one opinion, and only one person were of the contrary opinion, mankind would be no more justified in silencing that one person, than he, if he had the power, would be justified in silencing mankind.”

Wouldn't say they cut through us as easily as you suggest, they had a lot of the ball in the first half, but were limited to a few chances. We also had chances in the first half. 2and half we got to grips with them  and was more even. We missed more chances 2nd half as they chased the game.
