Sounds a good idea; hopefully not quite as strange looking as:

Does any part of the £25 go direct to funding tests for example?

Read the OS piece twice. Can't see a financial gain. I must say that if this scheme places any more load on our back office staff who should be fully focussed on Covid  protocols, H and S, maintaining the pitch etc, etc.

Seems like vain frippery to me when there are more urgent priorities. Perhaps a certain poster was right when he called me a weird old man!

That makes two of us then, typical Town months behind everyone else.

Maybe this is a how you’ll get to find out where you’re season ticket is, buy a cardboard cut out and they’ll place it in your seat.

I hope it goes well if the club are going to get some money from it, but I cant help thinking that it might be a bit embarrassing  if were to tune in to  i follow and only see about a dozen or so faces in the stands.

Well if i was a season ticket holder i would buy one and ask for it to be in my allocated seat....that way you may actually find out where your seat now is... if you can spot yourself  that is

Bit disappointed the VIP package didnt include a cushion so the cutout could be extra comfy.

Can I please ask that everybody who buys one sends a picture of themselves wearing an infamous, red Conoco hat?

I have seen no mention anywhere that the club will benefit from the sales. It is an outside company who does the printing, then sends the cutouts to the club for positioning.

I'm surprised that any local companies, especially Pickston Signs, who do all the signage for GTFC, haven't done something like this

Through the door there came familiar laughter,

Yes the club do benefit financially from the cutouts, Face in the Crowd have a superb set up and are being used by a number of clubs.  You could say Town are behind but the ones that went with it in April/May time were in the play-offs.

It's specialist equipment they use - local firms were talked to as well as another national company.

Zero extra work for office staff, other than accepting the delivery

A few teams have done this.

Hull had planned to do it when the Championship resumed to complete last season. Take up was embarrassingly low. To the point someone I know in KCom's marketing Dept was literally giving them away to anyone who would have one. In the end the idea was binned.

Looks good if you can fill big areas of stands but a bit crap if you end up with a handful of cut outs. Not entirely sure what the take up will be. Its not like you gonna be seen by hundreds of thousands of viewers on tv.

I want to support the club as much as I can but has a ST holder i have donated my season ticket refund from last season to club (happy to do so) bought a ST for this season with the increasingly chance I wont actually get into BP at all. Thats a very costly ifollow pass for home games effectively. I could have bought a full season of ifollow home games for £100  less than my ST price. So I think I've done my bit for now.

Fair enough, give it a whirl. It might bring a bit of humour in darkened times. You will not be surprised that I cry humbug at Halloween, Bonfire night and Christmas too!

I’d pay £25 not to have some of the ugly mugs that follow town on them.
