Noticed he’s not playing for Burton today. Apparently picked up a knee injury in his first game. Out for a while now. Apologies if this has been mentioned elsewhere.

A few on here didn’t think he would be missed as he was susceptible to knee injuries. I didn’t agree at the time.

Normal start of the season for him isnt it being injured ?  Or is that just how it seemed.

Charles Vernam is an absolute Lord of a footballer. I am so sad to see us fail to activate his extension, which would have been cheap enough, never mind a new deal which he deserved. He willl urine league one, score as many goals as he wants and we will massively regret one of the greatest players since Clive slipping through our fingers.

He is a Lord. I understand John Fenty, despite sitting back is responsible for renewals, hence losing Lord Vernam for nothing when we could have just extended his deal.
